Two and a half
years after his last album, Michael Bublé returns with "Crazy
Love." The album features thirteen songs, eleven of them are
covers of classics and two new tunes, which he has co-written. Al
ready released in the USA and Canada it has reached number one
there in just three days.
With several Grammies under his belt and more than 22 million
albums sold of his previous discography, Bublé has been
recording this album during the last six months in Los Angeles,
Brooklyn (New York) and his home city, Vancouver a has created
an album that "talks about the inevitable rollercoaster ride of
romantic relationships."
Among the new project's songs we find "Cry Me a River," "You're
Nobody Till Somebody Loves You," "Georgia On My Mind" and "Baby
(You've Got What It Takes)," which he sings alongside Sharon
Jones and the Dap-Kings, a cover of Van Morrison's musical jewel
"Crazy Love," which also gives the album its name and the CD
closes with a take on "Stardust" sung a capella with the band
Naturally 7. The album has been produced by David Foster, Bob
Rock and Humberto Gatica.
"I started working on this recording knowing that it would be
different from the previous ones. I delved deeper and at the
same time this album was more introspective. I was basically
singing the truth (converting each song in an autobiographical
statement), and you can clearly tell the difference. I went back
to the way in which my idols did their records. I wanted to make
the people feel as if they were by my side at the studio. The
musicians and I sat down and recorded together from the first
note letting the sounds unite us. Nothing artificial. Not too
perfect. You simply feel great," said Bublé about the recording
of "Crazy Love."
Here you can see the music video of "Haven't Met You Yet," the
first single from the album. He appears in it alongside his
current love interest, Argentinean singer, model, and actress
Luisana Lopilato, who is part of the South American group
Rebelde Way. |
