Miley Cyrus sings "When I Look at You," the ballad that plays during the closing credits of her new film "The Last Song." The tune was written and produced by Grammy winner John Shanks and co-written with Nashville composer Hillary Lindsay.

"When I look at you" was originally written for Miley Cyrus' next album, while she was in Savannah, Georgia, shooting "The Last Song." "But we then noticed that it completely described the movie," comments Miley, "so we brought in an arranger who could adapt it to the piano for me. It appears in the movie when the girl I play tells her boyfriend, Will, that she plays the piano. It's perfect for that scene because it's a love song, but it also speaks about God and family, many of the topics the movie is about."

Based on the new book by popular writer Nicholas Sparks ("A Walk to Remember," "The Notebook"), "The Last Song" takes place in a Southern beach town, where a divorced father (Greg Kinnear) is about to spend the summer with his rebellious teenage daughter (Miley Cyrus), who would have preferred to stay back home in New York. The father tries to reconnect with his daughter through the only thing they have in common: their love for music.

"The Last Song" is a story about family, friendship, secrets and forgiveness, and also about second chances and first loves. The film, which has not been well received by film critics, was directed by Julie Anne Robinson. It opened in the U.S. on March 31st and is set to be released in Spain on June 4th, 2010.

In related news, Miley Cyrus will be performing live in Spain at the Rock in Rio Madrid 2010 event on June 6.
