(Germany) – On the evening
of January 28, 2009, Hugo Boss opened the fourth
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin with the
presentation of its Boss Black collection for fall/winter 2009/10.
Some 700 invited guests attended the show which was held at the
century-old main greenhouse at Berlin's Botanical Gardens in the Dahlem
district.
"Our continued engagement in Berlin is indicative of our support for the
city's ongoing evolution as a global fashion center," noted Philipp
Wolff, Director of Communication.
Presented under the headline "Winter Cuts," the show featured the men
and women’s collections created by head designer Ingo Wilts, who said
had drawn inspiration from icons such as Catherine Deneuve and Sean
Penn.
At the cocktail party held after the fashion show, guests, including
former model and actress Milla Jovovich, Emile Hirsch ("Milk") and
girlfriend Brianna Domont were served champagne and a flying dinner
featuring veal carpaccio, parsnip cream soup, Roquefort pennette,
pan-roasted local pike perch, and warm dark chocolate cake.
