We propose a strong, new, modern woman who’s saying, look but don’t touch, which is something quite different from what’s been happening.

With very long hair you really don’t make a fashion statement. Maybe that’s why a lot of models wear their hair so long, because then they can be very versatile and kind of keep changing their look. Probably the easiest way to make a statement with long hair is to wear a fringe, or bangs as they say in America.

What are your suggestions for people with natural wavy or curly hair?

Again, the same principles apply. You have to get the shape and get the look – no matter if you hair is straight or wavy. A good hairdresser can make that work for you, for your bone structure, for your height, your face shape, lifestyle.

What colors do you think will be strong this new season?

I think spring will be blond and red. Those two colors are going to be really big.

Everywhere?

Not everyone can be blond. There are more people that can be variations of red than can be variations of blond, because there are only certain blondes that are good, and there’s lots of reds that are really good. So, in general terms, I would say that the colors are very definite and what they do is enhance the skin tone, the shape and the texture of the hair, the quality of it while creating shine. In most cases today, hair that doesn’t have some color is kind of unfinished in a way.

Are you talking about blue-reds, warm reds...?

I am talking about the whole spectrum of reds. Red is finally becoming more and more fashionable and you’re seeing more different shades of it, whereas at one time it was all brunettes and blondes.

Have you noticed any differences between how women wear their hair in America, Europe and the Far East?

I think there used to be very big differences but, particularly in the last five years or so, the gap has kind of narrowed and there are more and more similarities. Given the public's exposure to different media such as magazines, music and films - where hair, fashion and beauty is showcased, it has become more of an international look and less of an indigenous one to each part of the world.
