Blush – Blush lends our cheekbones a fresh and young appearance. It also makes their shape more visible, which foundation and loose powder tend to conceal. For Raquel, we have chosen L'Oréal Quick Stick Blush in nº03 Prune Glacée, in keeping with the natural look of the rest of the makeup. An intelligent use of blush can help us make a thin face appear wider. In the case of our model, José Ramón first asks her to smile in order to find the apple of her cheek, where he applies color. He, then, blends it down to a point parallel to the tip of her nose, from which he smoothes it towards the hairline at the center of the ear (see top image.) If you have a round face, apply color to the cheek, just below your iris, blending it upward towards your temple in a more diagonal direction to elongate the face. Finally, Mon adds a little color to Raquel's tip of the chin to visually shorten her face's length. Lips – For this first look, and to emphasize Raquel's beautiful smile, we opt for plum, one of the trendiest colors this season. We use Estée Lauder Go Pout in Pouty Plum. But, given her |

upper lip is slightly thinner than her bottom one, we start by subtly correcting this. If this is your case, line your upper lip outside the natural lip line using a color as similar as possible to the one you are going to apply afterwards. This will give you more balanced and full-looking lips.
Thus, by choosing the softest and more delicate colors from this
season's palette, we have completed the first look from our
autumn/winter 2000-2001 makeover. The final result, as seen on
the photograph to the right, is a subtle enhancement of Raquel's natural
beauty. An up-to-date look, great for day, which makes us attractive but without
